About Amrita
I am an IB Examiner (active). Former IBMYP Coordinator—responsible for curriculum design, teacher training, and internal assessment and personal project moderation and a mom to a 4-year-old. 11+ years of teaching experience and 8 years of IB teaching at international schools.
Educational Qualifications: B.Sc; M.Sc Organic Chemistry. PGDEI (Post Graduate Diploma in International Education).

If your child understands the concept, the exam takes care of itself.
That is the belief behind every session I run and after 11 years in the classroom, I have seen it proven right consistently. I am Amrita, an IB Examiner and former IBMYP Coordinator specializing in IB MYP Science (Year 6–10) and IB DP Chemistry (Year 11–12 SL/HL). I have taught, designed assessments for, and marked the actual IB examinations which means I know precisely what examiners are looking for, where students lose marks unnecessarily, and how to close that gap efficiently.
What I do differently: Most tutoring repeats the classroom. We cover content, do practice questions, review what went wrong. It is useful. It is rarely enough. At ConceptCircle, every session starts with the big idea—the concept underneath the topic. Before a student writes a single formula or recalls a single fact, they understand why that concept exists and what problem it solves. From there, we work on examiner language. IB marking schemes are precise. Students lose marks not because they have the wrong idea but because they expressed it without the cause-and-effect structure the mark scheme requires. This is a learnable skill. I teach it explicitly. What this looks like in practice:
1:1 or Small groups of maximum 5 students—every student is seen, not just present.
Online sessions, Monday to Saturday, 4–9 PM AEST—flexible around school schedules.

Regular practice with examiner-style feedback, not just ticks and crosses.

Who I work with:
IB MYP Science students in Year 6–10 who want to understand the criteria and stop losing marks on assessments they prepared for. IB DP Chemistry students in Year 11–12 SL and HL who are working hard but not seeing the grade their effort deserves.

If your child is bright, working consistently, and still coming home with a 4 or 5 that gap is almost always fixable. It is usually not a knowledge problem. It is a thinking and expression problem. That is exactly what I address.
