I personally follow the Socratic method of teaching, which has been the oldest and still the most powerful, teaching tactic for fostering critical thinking of a student. In making use of Socratic teaching method, I make it my aim to focus on giving students questions, not answers. This method of teaching relies on asking questions to help students learn. By so doing, modeling an inquiring, probing mind by continually probing into the subject with questions until the student understands the subject. In the Socratic method, the classroom experience is a shared dialogue between teacher and student. It has been proven to be more effective than teaching the lesson directly as a lecture.
