About Suzanne

Whether you hate history or love it you will definitely start to love it after our tutoring sessions! I have a big passion for history - specifically how history still has an impact on how we live our lives today. We can better understand the world that we live in today if we take the time to study what has happened to the world so far.

Apart from being a post-graduate student I also run a small photography business, called 'Pausing the Epoch', and a non-profit organisation, called 'The Serendipity Project'. I am a supporter of minority rights, social justice, and generally being a kind human being!

I am looking forward to traveling back in time with you to see what we find!

THE ANSWER LIES IN HISTORY!!

Earth in the 21st century is a difficult place to navigate, I know. But when we study history a new world opens up to us. A world that is fun to explore but one that can also help us to understand why things are the way they are in the world that we live in today.

As a History student and History teacher I know what most students struggle with and I also understand that History can be difficult to understand because we often think that the subject has noting to do with us. In my lessons I will make sure that my students are able to understand why History is important but also what History has to do with them.

As the best achieving student in both my school and undergraduate History classes I am well equipped with the necessary skills to teach students how to write eloquent and factual History essays.

In my lessons we will always focus on understanding, not only, the content of history, but also, its impact on our lives today. This will make it easier for students to relate to the content and remember it better.

Once my students understand the content we will focus on essay writing and (if needed at school level) answering Source Based Questions. Students are also welcome to ask for assistance with any topic or skill of their choice.

I am able to teach primary and high school learners as well as first to third year university undergraduate students.

Together we can discover the history of our world and why it is the way it is today. Because once we know this we have the ability to create a better world for tomorrow!
