About Loch
Hello! My name is Loch and I am an Honours English literature student currently working towards a bachelor of arts. I am passionate about helping others reach their goals and enjoy making teaching as fun and accessible as possible. I have experience teaching people of all ages but am most familiar with helping adolescents improve their English writing skills. Whether you are new to English or a native speaker, I can help you with grammar, conversational skills, reading comprehension, and academic and non-academic writing. If you are unsure about what you want to work on, that's okay, too! I am happy to help you figure that out along the way.

I come up with my lesson plans based on individuals' needs; in other words, my tutoring sessions are 100% unique to each and every student! That said, I try to ensure that my lessons are as practical as possible. I believe in real-world experience, so if you are in the same city as me, I might bring you to a grocery store to go on a scavenger hunt to practice your vocabulary. If we're working online, I might plan a simulated conversation to help you practice your conversational skills. If you prefer more of a traditional teaching style, I can provide workbook exercises or run through grammar drills with you. Whatever your preference, my goal is to make learning fun for you!
