About Fatima
Hello lovely people! I am an English Language and Literature undergraduate student in the University of Nottingham. I've done tutoring for English Literature in A Levels for about 5 months before my semester started last year. I am currently still a student, on my way to complete my second year in university ^_^

I mainly tutor A Level students or first years in uni because well, that's what I am most familiar with having completed the same courses myself.
Basically, first of all, we'll have a chat about what you're struggling with and I'll just go through one of your essays and see where you need the most improvement and specialise the structure of my lessons accordingly.
For example, let's say you struggle with breaking down poems and trying to tie in literary devices with analysis. I'll just work on the different devices with you and try to explain what each device does within a poem and help you identify them. And then bring in analysis and slowly ease you into writing an essay. Then of course, I will proofread and detail each part of the essay you did well, and which parts were lacking with reasons why so you know what to repeat and what to avoid.
I try not to put too much pressure my tutees. Being a student myself, I understand how jarring it can be when you're expected to just KNOW things and work them out on your own but don't worry about it. I get it, it's stressful. So we'll take it one step at a time until you get to the grades you want to achieve :)
