About Stephen
With 20 years in the industry my courses come from my background as a self-taught writer, producer, director, editor and cameraman that has built a reputation for shooting fast with minimal budget and producing extremely high production values. From my background in self-funded short films onto my first independent feature ‘Vendetta’ starring Danny Dyer which was shot for a mere £100k in 18 days and then following up with ‘12Rounds3:Lockdown’ and ‘Interrogation’ for WWE Studios and Lionsgate with budgets of $2.5 million I draw from all of these experiences and include them in this package.

Each lesson is tailored for the student dependant on their requirements and can include all aspects of the film making process whether it be;
Shooting your first short or feature film including – locations that give strong production values, reverse engineering a location you have access to into a screenplay, lighting-on-a-budget tips like turning household lights into movie lights to save money, casting fresh talent and where to look.
Directing – Blocking a scene, managing actors and last minute changes or suggestions from cast and crew that can affect the shooting day, how to be decisive and efficient on set, shooting as quickly as possible without compromising quality, time management and much more.
Scriptwriting – A beginners guide - From character development to pacing, working with a high concept or a plotless story or understanding format. How to take the story you want to tell and turn it into a screenplay.
Producing - Managing budgets, managing schedules and time, where to spend and where to save, how to be as efficient as possible.
The lessons can vary in length but typically are 1 hour sessions at a time and usually work in a Q&A format where I will respond to any and all queries pulling from all of my experiences.
