About Pavlina
If you're looking to work with someone who is very smart and competent but also very fun and eager to make learning actually enjoyable - look no further! I strive for excellence in all areas of my life but I also think we're here on this earth to enjoy life (and law), so our classes won't be dry or boring. International law is a genuinely fascinating subject that touches every area of society and learning how to apply and develop it should be inspiring and exciting.
A bit about me as a person: I live in New York and work on labor and climate campaigning and advocacy. In my spare time I love books, movies, travelling, theatre, art, music, nature, friends, family - all the good stuff.

I won a prize from the International Court of Justice due to my exceptional results in my LLM at the LSE. I can tutor across climate change and international law, terrorism and the rule of law, international human rights law, refugee law, and the law of self-determination.
In terms of my tutoring approach, I like to take a didactic approach that helps the student think through cases and concepts and develop their way of thinking about the law in ways that can be applied far beyond the specific topics we cover in our tutoring concepts. My goal is to foster excellence in my students and prepare them to be best in class rather than just passable, and this requires developing critical thinking skills and the ability to question the law rather than simply apply it.
