About Gabriel
I am a CAPES scholarship recipient for a doctorate in philosophy at UERJ, where I am writing a thesis on the conditions of political action in the face of contemporary crises (economic, environmental, humanitarian, etc.). From September 2024 to March 2025, I was a visiting researcher, with a CAPES scholarship, at the California Institute of the Arts in the United States. I also received a master's scholarship from PUC-Rio and hold a degree in philosophy from UFRJ (summa cum laude, average: 9.7). Although I specialize in contemporary philosophy, especially French (particularly Deleuze, Guattari, Foucault, and Baudrillard) and German (particularly Kant, Hegel, Nietzsche, and Heidegger) from the perspective of metaphysics, epistemology, ethics, and political philosophy, I can teach the general historical horizon of philosophy or specific authors – including high school material or an introductory overview, if you are interested.

With experience in private tutoring since graduating with a degree in philosophy (2017 onwards), my focus is to combine conceptual rigor with concrete examples and, therefore, practical applications of philosophy in life. In this sense, I develop a teaching plan adapted to the needs of each student, from the layperson to the philosopher. My classes are intended for:
- High school students seeking good grades and/or preparation for the ENEM (Brazilian National High School Exam)
- University students of philosophy or other disciplines who want to specialize in a period, concept, or author of philosophy.
- Curious and independent scholars seeking to discuss and/or learn even more.
