About Simran
I love teaching and helping people. It brings me tremendous satisfaction to help a student reach their potential. There is little that beats seeing a student's face when they understand a concept that they thought was beyond them. My experience working on both a one-to-one and group basis puts me in a great position to help people. I aim to make these sessions enjoyable, as I believe it is the best way to learn any subject.

I work in a structured and methodical manner, taking things step by step and dealing with any stumbling blocks with patience. Lessons will typically be an hour. I have had experience at a secondary school for a week, where I shadowed both History and Maths teachers and assisted them by helping individual students who were struggling. This took the form of clearing up any misunderstandings or explaining certain concepts in another manner. I also have three months of experience in tutoring Maths to a small group of high-achieving students. In addition, I aided in Maths extracurriculars, where I helped students with any difficulties in understanding complex problems. Other experience includes one-to-one sessions for those who had reading difficulties and helping them build confidence. I achieved grade 9s for Maths and History at GCSE level. My services are intended for SATS, Key Stage 3 and GCSE students.
