About Alfred
I am a history undergraduate at Oxford from a state school background. I do not think I would be here if it were not for the opportunities I had to study History outside of the classroom.
I love history and I love teaching. I also think one to one tutorials are the most effective way to improve upon, or enhance, ones own historical skills.

In one hour tutorials, we will look at one - or more - of the student's homework assignments, essays, coursework, practice exam questions or entrance exam questions. I will ask for any of these to be submitted beforehand.
We will discuss the strengths and weaknesses of your writing techniques, style, logic and use of historical evidence.
Each session will conclude with thinking about how to use the feedback and discussion developed in the tutorial to improve on future assignments, exams, etc.
Lessons are aimed at anyone - of all abilities - taking a GCSE or A Level paper in History. I have experience in teaching history to students of a whole range of abilities.
Lessons are also aimed at anyone applying to the top universities to study history at undergraduate level.
