About Vicky
Hi, I'm Vicky and I'm currently studying for a BA in History from the University of Oxford. I Studied A Levels in History, English Literature and Biology, achieving A*A*A, as well as 9's in GCSE English Literature, language. I have tutored within educational environments previously and am eager to adapt textbook learning to be more engaging and more tailored to the specific student and their needs. I specialise in secondary school English Literature and History, as well as A Level History. My Aim as a tutor is to simplify what may seem initially intimidating, to condense texts or topics into only that which the student can use effectively, focusing on their way of learning to help with memorising knowledge and putting it forth clearly and concisely within the context of an essay.

Fully adaptive tutoring style. I aim to simplify the plot, events or character progressions through visual and auditory learning, creating simple and concise overviews of characters, themes and plot with the students input. For all of these overviews, I aim to integrate short quotations or pieces of evidence, many of which are multi-faceted and able to be used for multiple characters/themes. Much of the time, students have the information necessary but not the skills with which to deploy this information. I therefore aim to create personalised strategies with the students help which will help them integrate their knowledge into essays, dissecting previous essays and trying to help the student understand the relevant places to deploy their knowledge.
Lessons are typically one hour in length, however accessibility adjustments can be made for students with ADHD etc (speaking as somebody with ADHD who understands the concentration challenges that can come with this). Lessons are always adapted to the specific age and course requirements of the student.
