About Sophie
I am a patient and calm individual who has always enjoyed learning and teaching. I work full time for the Civil Service however in my job, the most fun I have is when I am helping others and teaching them how to do the job. I don’t want to teach full time which is why I am in my current role however to be able to teach for a few hours in the evening and use my love for teaching in small doses would be perfect.

My approach to teaching includes tailoring each lesson to the needs of the student by understanding the way that they learn best. This may include using flash cards, quizzes or past paper questions. I ask each student what activities they enjoy most and try to adapt the teaching to incorporate these things. I want kids to enjoy learning as much as I did and find fun ways to do so.
