About Peter
Hi, my name is Peter! I am from Germany, and I recently completed an MPhil in World History at the University of Cambridge, after graduating with distinction from LMU Munich. Alongside my studies, I have worked internationally in different organisations and policy institutions, including the Middle East Institute in Washington, the Munich Security Conference, and projects in Lebanon. Having studied and worked in several countries, I understand the challenges students face and enjoy making complex topics accessible and engaging.

My teaching is centred on one principle: learning should be engaging, structured, and tailored to the individual student. Every learner has different strengths, goals, and ways of understanding new material, so I adapt my lessons accordingly rather than following a rigid, one-size-fits-all approach.
I place particular emphasis on developing genuine understanding instead of memorisation.
Whether we are working on history, politics, German, French, essay writing, or university applications, I encourage students to ask questions, think critically, and build confidence in their own abilities. Lessons combine clear explanations with interactive discussion, practical exercises, and continuous feedback, ensuring that students leave each session with tangible progress.
A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, although longer sessions (90–120 minutes) can be arranged for exam preparation, essay coaching, or intensive revision.
My lessons are suitable for secondary school, sixth form, undergraduate students, and adult learners. I offer support for school subjects, university coursework, academic writing, dissertation supervision, language learning, and university applications, including Oxbridge admissions guidance. Whether your goal is improving grades, preparing for examinations, strengthening academic writing, or exploring a subject out of genuine curiosity, I will tailor our lessons to help you achieve it.
