About Iman
I am currently studying History and International Relations at a Russell Group University, where I am constantly developing strong analytical, research and communication skills that I bring into every lesson.
I have over four years of experience teaching and supporting students across GCSE and A-Level subjects, including English, French, Spanish and History. Throughout this time, I have worked with students of different abilities and learning styles, helping them improve academically while also building their confidence and motivation.
I decided to become a tutor because I genuinely enjoy helping students reach their potential and discover confidence in subjects they may initially find difficult. I understand that every student learns differently, so I focus on creating lessons that are supportive, engaging and personalised to each individual’s goals. Seeing students grow in confidence, improve their grades and develop a genuine understanding of their subjects is the most rewarding part of teaching for me.
As someone who is still actively studying in an academic environment, I also understand the pressures students face today and can offer relatable, up-to-date guidance on revision techniques, exam preparation and effective study habits.

My French lessons are tailored, engaging and designed to help students build both confidence and strong language skills. With over four years of tutoring experience and a strong background in languages, I have worked with students at different levels, helping them improve grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, speaking, listening and written expression. Each lesson is adapted to the student’s individual goals and learning style, whether they are preparing for GCSE or A-Level exams, improving classroom performance or building confidence in spoken French.
Lessons usually begin with a short review of previous work before moving into focused activities such as conversation practice, grammar exercises, reading comprehension, translation tasks and exam-style questions. I place a strong emphasis on creating a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. My teaching style focuses on breaking down difficult concepts into clear, manageable steps while also helping students develop effective revision and exam techniques.
My lessons are suitable for GCSE and A-Level students, younger learners needing extra support, and anyone looking to improve their confidence and ability in French.
