About Tom
I am a third year History and Hispanic Studies student at the University of Liverpool. I am an aspiring academic historian with a rich experience in teaching History, English and Spanish to students aged 5-18. In addition, I have coached rugby, taught children with learning disabilities and recently completed a legal data analyst research internship in order to gain more experience.

I tailor my each class to the individual pupils requirements. I believe it’s very important to understand the varying capabilities and preexisting foundations of each student before approaching a topic; as to avoid throwing them into the deep end. Following that I will break each topic down to its bare components in a handbook style fashion, so the student can see the bigger of picture of what we are aiming to achieve through all the various subsections. The lessons would then be taught in a similar fashion to University seminars - by exploring the topic as a continuous stream of events as opposed to isolated historical situations.
