About Holly
I am a positive, encouraging tutor who is passionate about helping students grow in confidence and achieve their goals. I understand that learning can sometimes be challenging, and I believe that every student learns in their own way and at their own pace.
I have two years' experience teaching languages in both primary and secondary schools, and have a degree in Hispanic Studies and History from the University of Warwick. My subject knowledge and understanding of the specifications and requirements is broad and developed (I have taught the AQA GCSE, Pearson iGCSE, and AQA A-Level specs, as well as all three KS3 year groups).
My aim is to create a supportive and motivating environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and developing their skills. Languages are a hard skill to learn, and it's through talking, learning from mistakes, and gaining confidence, that we can fully immerse ourselves in this linguistic and cultural journey! I enjoy working together with students on their learning journey, building both understanding and confidence step by step.
I look forward to helping those I tutor achieve great things through patience, encouragement, and hard work together.

Hello!
With a wealth of knowledge spanning across three key stages (KS3, 4, and 5), as well as a rich understanding of exam specifications and requirements (AQA GCSE, Pearson iGCSE, and AQA A-Level), I am keen to help students develop their linguistic and cultural understanding of Spanish and the Hispanic World. I have taught in both primary and secondary schools, and have developed a broad understanding of both subject knowledge, methods for teaching content, and the pedagogy underpinning learning.
Whether it be that you're looking for help with grammar concepts, writing tasks, developing confidence through speaking, or any specific areas that you want to work on, I am equipped to support you throughout your learning journey. Classes will be tailor-made, and scaffolded to support your needs, taking into account areas of strength and areas for development. This will ensure that you are developing understanding and furthering your knowledge of Spanish skills throughout the classes.
Lesson timings can be flexible. I would propose anywhere between 45 minutes to an hour as this gives good structure to classes and both opportunity to learn and put knowledge into practice. This is incredibly important for ensuring progress. This being said, I understand that schedules vary; these timings are a suggestion.
