About Sarah
I am an outstanding teacher, fully qualified with QTS. I am currently based in Cobham. I have extensive experience teaching in both state and private schools with previous roles as: Head of English, Maths, Music and Design & Technology. I am an experienced practitioner teaching Early Years, KS1, KS2, KS3 and preparing students for common entrance exams: 11+ and 13+ testing as well as preparing students for 7+ and 8+ tests. I specialise in teaching maths, English and the full primary curriculum through to Secondary school GCSEs. I have excellent subject knowledge and experience of using a range of different teaching strategies. I teach online and in-person with over 15 years tutoring experience in both. My expertise lies in creating bespoke teaching plans to cater for individualised learning needs. I pride myself on my professionalism and reliability. I motivate and inspire confidence in my students while supporting them to successfully achieve their learning goals.

During my lessons, I first seek to understand what areas require focus and support, ascertaining our starting point as well as the student's preferred learning style. I then plan each lesson focusing on these needs. I will prepare the learning resources we will use, tailoring each session to the student's individual learning style and educational goals. This ensures maximum student engagement in the lessons and increases the efficiency of our time together. Utilising my years of experience in a range of academic settings and being the subject leader for English, science, maths and music, I have adaptable skills and up-to-date knowledge of the curriculum and a range of assessments. I effectively use these tools to benefit my students during our sessions. I am an outstanding teacher and I love what I do. With my enthusiasm and expertise, I provide first-class teaching to all my students.
