About Tammy
I have taught for over 30 years. I have been a classroom teacher (virtual), a special education teacher, a literacy specialist/coach and a summer school principal. I have had my own private tutoring students from private schools and other districts. My parents have always been amazed at the progress their child has made and the specific data I offer to their home district to ensure success. I am retiring from my full-time position and am looking to share my knowledge and proven approach with others

I provide all the materials needed for your child to become a successful reader. I use multi-sensory techniques that are grounded in current research and have resulted in great success. I will collaborate with your school district to share explicit data that results in identifying the next steps needed to ensure your child has a specially designed approach to meet their needs. I have several testimonials from parents on the success their child has demonstrated. I focus not only on the academics of reading, but in building the confidence that we all want our children to feel. I can provide virtual lessons that result in success. If in the BInghamton area, I can provide in person tutoring. I use multi-sensory strategies, phonic readers and leveled readers to provide explicit instruction aimed at the child's needs.
