About Marianne
I have been teaching in one way or another for the past twenty years. I have taught French and English children from as young as seven through to teens and up to 70 in many contexts and environments around the globe. I have had extensive classroom experience but also teach online. I have been delighted to see past GCSE and A'level students excel with high grades and go on to study at university. I marvel at the speed a child can learn a second language through play and healthy doses of encouragement and positive reinforcement.

Hello et Bonjour!
I'm Marianne, a qualified teacher of French (PGCE) and a EFL teacher (CELTA) and translation skills tutor with Translators in Schools. I also hold a MA in Translation and have worked on academic articles in the fields of the Social Sciences, Philosophy, Politics and Business.
For children, whether it's learning French or English as a foreign language, I structure lessons in which we learn through play with plenty of positive reinforcement, movement and visually appealing resources in order to support language learning in a fun and relaxed way.
For youngsters revising for their GCSE or A'level French I will structure sessions around the appropriate syllabus including games and visually appealing and suitable materials to help with written and spoken competency.
For University students I offer expert advice on how to structure essays in either French or English and help with developing oral competency.
