About Mostafa
I am a qualified and award-winning maths teacher with over 5 years’ experience in the classroom. I have taught both secondary level pupils (14- to 18-year-olds) and have also worked with adults on their functional maths skills. My academic and teacher training, together with my practical classroom experience, means that I am skilled in delivering structured lessons, personalised for each individual student to improve their grades and reach their goals.
As a teacher, I have received ‘Best Teacher’ Awards on a number of occasions for introducing new teaching methods and getting great results.
I have had experience of teaching all areas of the maths included in the GCSE and ‘A’ level syllabuses and will work closely with the student as they prepare for their exams. Throughout my career I have worked in mixed ability classrooms, so I am aware that some students need significant support and help with understanding basic principles, while others just need to improve their focus and have additional challenge. One of my teaching strengths is to do this effectively. I also enjoy working with advanced students to stretch them and build their confidence and practice as they tackle more difficult work.
When teaching adults, my original qualification and training in Accountancy is helpful as I can use real-life situations and examples to illustrate the principles being taught. I am happy to help prepare for any professional qualifications with a significant maths content.

I tailor my teaching to individual learning styles and am highly experienced working with a range of abilities. I know some students face additional learning challenges and need more support with both focus and understanding. I teach the basic principles of maths as well as more complex mathematical theory. My aim is always to improve confidence, often using real-life examples learnt from my Accountancy qualification. I always ensure that my lessons are fun, engaging and inspirational. I strive to ensure that even the most hard-to-reach students will learn to love maths!
