About Manouchehr
In my long practice I have learnt that the way young people learn varies hugely from one to another. A professional teacher should understand that students may see and understand things in different ways. Each way may be valid one needing gradual improvement. I then I explore to help my student to see it deeper and perhaps come to the best solution, and moreover learn from this exploration. In my approach I try to give my students the courage and confidence which is an important psychological barrier for many to learn Mathematics. Students should be encouraged not to worry about their mistakes. They need to gradually realise that learning can indeed be a messy activity. Another factor that greatly enhances the teaching experience is the constant interaction between teacher and student. This relationship is according to my experience crucial for learning. When young students trust and like their teachers they make a better effort and most importantly they feel free to express what they think and speak about their difficulties in learning the subject.

Teaching is an art and hence a creative activity. Behind every abstract concept in Maths there is some physical reality that we can all adhere to. Connection between Mathematics and real world, for a graduate of Physics which I am, is a huge advantage. I use this connection to bring Mathematical notions to their real meanings. I let my student to freely express their approach and understanding of the meaning and I try to lead them to the right solution.
Typical length of a teaching session is an hour, but with a short break a 2-hour lesson sometimes can be more effective. Because of my long experience, I am able to cater my lesson for all age +16 groups, and for all level of academic ability.
