About Louisa
I’m a qualified British teacher and Head of Year at a leading British school in Dubai, with extensive teaching and leadership experience across both the UK and UAE. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in English Language and a PGCE, giving me both a strong academic understanding of English and professional teaching experience.
I have taught pupils across a wide range of abilities and know how to adapt my teaching to help every child make progress. English is a subject I’m particularly passionate about - I love helping children develop their writing, strengthen their reading and comprehension skills, expand their vocabulary and become more confident expressing their ideas.
My approach is warm, encouraging and personalised, while maintaining high expectations. Whether your child needs additional support, wants to improve their school performance or is ready for greater challenge, I tailor my teaching to help them achieve their individual goals.

Every lesson is designed around your child’s individual needs, ability and goals. Sessions are engaging, structured and focused on developing the skills they need to become a confident and capable English learner.
I can support your child with reading comprehension, creative and academic writing, spelling, punctuation and grammar, vocabulary, sentence structure and developing more sophisticated written responses.
Rather than simply completing worksheets, I explicitly teach skills, model strong examples and guide pupils through their thinking before giving them opportunities to apply their learning independently. Lessons can focus on closing gaps and building confidence, supporting current schoolwork or providing greater challenge for higher-attaining pupils.
Most importantly, I want your child to understand how to improve and leave each lesson feeling more confident in their English ability.
