About Jessica
My name is Jess, and I am 18 years old, and I have been playing music since before I could even remember. I have always had a passion for music, since my poppa bought me my first acoustic guitar when I was 3 years old, and I have been playing since. I have been properly playing electric and acoustic guitar on and off for 12 years, bass guitar for 7 years, and ukulele for 10 years. I am a confident teacher and have taught many different people with many different abilities and have shown them their true potential within music. In my free time outside of school and playing, I play in a band called The People, where I play the bass guitar and do backing vocals. I have been a part of this group for nearly 3 years, and it is my favorite thing to be a part of.

I teach beginner to intermediate lessons for 5-16 year olds. I have been teaching instruments to people since I was 7, but professionally started 2 years ago. Lessons can range from 20 minutes to 1 hour, depending on how long you think is appropriate. Within the lesson, I will teach a range of different things for each instrument. For guitar, I will teach you the appropriate chords you need to learn to be able to master your favorite songs, as well as learning lead guitar and solos, while showing you special techniques to help you master your guitar skills. For bass guitar, I will teach you the roots of songs, and how to be a solid rhythm sectionist. It's all about that bass, am I right? I will also teach you essential scales to be able to show off to everyone and how to correctly pluck. I can also teach many different techniques as well. For Ukulele, I will teach you important chords to learn, as well as how to strum correctly in time to your favorite tunes. If you want to go that extra mile, I can also teach you some lead and melody Ukulele parts, to make yourself stand out from others!
