- We would like to tutor young kids basic Chess mathematics while also having fun. This program would not only be for learning, but we hope some kids could become more social through this program. There will be both group and individual activities. The activities can include coloring, playing math games, and regular problem solving. All activities will contain a math and Chess elements to it.
- A normal session would work like this: I would first present google slides with information about the techniques/topics we want to teach that day, and then once everyone learns the topic, we move onto the activities. If a child is still struggling with the topic, I would work with them to make sure they understand the topic.
- Personally, when I was in elementary School, there were hardly any tutors for chess. Although my parents taught me the basics, I would still struggle while competing with my friends/family. I would love to help the elementary kids with learning the basics of chess and easier techniques for checkmate.
