About Lila
Hi! I’m a high school student who loves helping others become more confident writers. Through my classes, extracurriculars, and experience with academic writing, debate, and public speaking, I’ve developed strong skills in communication, organization, and building effective arguments.
I understand that writing can feel challenging, whether you’re starting an essay, struggling with ideas, or trying to improve your grades. My goal is to make the process easier by helping students find their voice, strengthen their skills, and feel more confident in their work.
I’m dedicated, patient, and excited to work with students of different ages and learning styles. Whether you need help with an assignment, state testing preparation, or simply want to become a stronger writer, I’m here to support you every step of the way.

My teaching style is focused on making writing feel more approachable and helping students feel confident in their own ideas. I like to work with students step-by-step, whether that means coming up with ideas, organizing thoughts, strengthening arguments, or improving the final draft.
A typical lesson will depend on the student’s goals, but it usually includes reviewing their work, talking through what they’re struggling with, and practicing skills together. We might work on essay structure, thesis statements, grammar, reading comprehension, creative writing, or preparing for state testing.
What makes me different is that I’m a student too, so I understand the challenges students face in today’s classrooms. My experience with academic writing, debate, and public speaking helps me teach students how to clearly express their ideas and build stronger arguments.
My lessons are for elementary, middle, and high school students who want extra support with writing, English assignments, reading skills, essays, speeches, and test preparation.
