About Martha
I’m a high school sophomore taking all honors and AP classes, and I take tutoring seriously while keeping things comfortable and low-stress. I have been taking accelerated math classes for 5 years. I’m organized, reliable, and always come prepared to help students understand the material clearly.
Outside of school, I run track and play the cello, which has helped me build strong discipline and time-management skills.
I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and gaining confidence in math, while knowing they’re learning from someone who is responsible, patient, and invested in their success.

My approach as a tutor is focused on helping students understand math rather than memorizing steps. I explain concepts in clear, simple ways and adapt my teaching to each student’s learning style, using step-by-step breakdowns, examples, and guided practice. A typical lesson includes reviewing what the student is learning in class, addressing problem areas, working through examples together, and practicing independently to build confidence. As a high school student, I understand how these courses are taught and what teachers expect and test on, which helps me anticipate common mistakes and explain concepts in a relatable way. I tutor middle and high school students in Math 1, Math 2, Math 3, AP Precalculus, and all math courses below AP Calculus AB.
