About Yueqian
Debate is intellectually stimulating but it has also opened my mind in terms of interacting and connecting with incredible debaters. People are different and do not always mold together but on a debate team, we suddenly all become one entity and work to uplift one another. This made me realize the importance of talking to people because each individual has something unique to offer, it has made me more motivated to take the initiative to learn from my teammates and other debaters, and it has made me confident in believing I can step up as a leader to benefit other debaters with my knowledge. I value the connections I’ve made through debating and hope to offer the same type of optimism, leadership, and friendship to others. The undying commitment I have for improvement, the intrinsic passion, and the friendship I seek to create will allow me to make the most of helping you on your debate journey!

My lessons are most suitable for students aged 9 to 15 who are beginners/intermediate at competitive debating or public speaking. My lessons can range from 30 minutes to 1 hour and will focus on debating/public speaking formats and competitions according to the student's preferences. A few examples include: the World Schools' Debate format, the British Parliamentary debate format, the World Individual Debate, and the Public Speaking Championships.
Students will engage in active practice for techniques, complete modules, and participate in fun, debate/public speaking-related games during sessions!
