About Zachary
I teach at the high school level, and I've been doing so for 6 years. I teach all kinds of students at all levels of knowledge, all who have different challenges from home life to poverty to special needs. Learning can be difficult and daunting, but I firmly believe that anyone can learn anything if they really want to. I leverage social and emotional learning to help boost academic learning, and I am a teacher that seeks those aha moments where you and I can share the victory of learning something new.

I'm a self-taught coding specialist, and I've become very quickly familiar with any curriculum I am set up to teach. Since I teach myself, I'm very familiar with the common pitfalls that many students will encounter! More than likely. I will know what will cause you to stumble before you even get there, so I can get you over the hump faster. I also frequently use analogies and different modalities to teach coding, as this facilitates not only the standard student but also those who are neurodivergent and need alternate teaching strategies. If you bring the effort, I guarantee you that you will understand the concept by the end of my lessons.
