Prior to sessions, I gather detailed information from parents and students, including the textbook or curriculum being used, the current unit or chapter, pacing of the class, and any upcoming assessments. When assistance is needed on particular assignments, parents or students are encouraged to provide a digital copy in advance so the session can be planned efficiently. Instruction is delivered through guided review, concept reinforcement, structured discussion, and assignment-based support, with an emphasis on comprehension, critical thinking, and academic skill development rather than memorization. This approach ensures tutoring directly supports classroom instruction while helping students build long-term academic confidence and independence.

Tutoring rates reflect not only the time spent working directly with students, but also the individualized preparation completed in advance of each session. This preparation includes reviewing textbooks or course materials, analyzing current class progress, and examining any assignments or assessments provided ahead of time so instruction is targeted and effective. In-person tutoring sessions are $35 per session, virtual sessions are $25 per session, and a $10 travel fee applies for in-person sessions requiring travel of 30 minutes or more. This pricing structure ensures each student receives thoughtful, customized academic support aligned with their specific coursework.
