About Cooper

I’m a high-achieving high school student with a passion for mathematics and helping others understand it. I maintain a 4.0 unweighted GPA, earned a 35 on the ACT Math section, and pursue a rigorous academic schedule featuring advanced honors and AP coursework.

Beyond academics, I’m a nationally accomplished competitive speaker, an experience that has strengthened my ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and adapt my explanations to different audiences.

As a current student, I understand firsthand the challenges and expectations of today’s mathematics classrooms. I enjoy finding new ways to explain concepts to different minds, and I firmly believe that everyone is capable of becoming genuinely proficient in mathematics.

For me, tutoring is an opportunity not only to share my understanding of mathematics, but also to expand it by discovering new ways of thinking alongside my students.

I offer personalized mathematics tutoring for students of all ages, covering elementary-level math through Algebra II. My lessons focus on building mathematical intuition and confidence rather than simply memorizing formulas and procedures.

I begin by identifying what students already understand and building upon that foundation, finding approaches to unfamiliar concepts that make sense to them. My teaching style is relaxed, conversational, and collaborative. Through guiding questions, I help students discover the logic behind mathematical problems, gradually reducing my guidance as they become more comfortable reasoning independently.

Above all, my goal is to help students recognize their own mathematical abilities, develop confidence, and discover that they are genuinely capable of excelling in mathematics.
