About Viraj
I’m a highly motivated student with a strong academic background and a genuine interest in helping other students reach their potential. I achieved ten Grade 9s at GCSE, including Mathematics, Statistics and the sciences, and have continued to challenge myself academically through Further Mathematics and other advanced study.
I have a particularly strong interest in Mathematics, Statistics and Science, and understand that achieving top grades is about much more than simply memorising content. I have developed my own revision strategies and exam techniques through experience, and I aim to pass these on in a way that is practical and easy to understand.
I’m approachable, patient and supportive, and I understand how frustrating it can be when a topic simply doesn’t click. I focus on identifying exactly where a student is struggling, filling those gaps and then building their confidence step-by-step. I also place a strong emphasis on exam technique, helping students understand how to apply their knowledge effectively under exam conditions.
Outside of academics, I have experience in student leadership and mentoring roles, including working as a Digital Ambassador and Student Council member. I have also completed work experience with J.P. Morgan in Canary Wharf, giving me exposure to a professional environment and further developing my communication and organisational skills.
Whether a student is struggling with the basics, aiming for a Grade 7–9, or simply wants to become more confident in their subject, I aim to make lessons structured, engaging and genuinely useful.

I offer structured and personalised GCSE lessons in Mathematics, Statistics and Science, tailored to each student's individual needs and goals. Having achieved ten grade 9s at GCSE, I understand the demands of the exams and what is required to achieve the highest grades.
Lessons are supportive and interactive, with a focus on identifying gaps in knowledge, strengthening understanding and building confidence. I adapt my teaching to each student, whether they need help with difficult topics, exam technique, or pushing towards the top grades.
Each lesson follows a clear structure, usually beginning with a quick review of previous topics, followed by teaching and worked examples before moving onto exam-style questions. I encourage students to explain their reasoning rather than simply memorising methods, helping them develop a deeper understanding that they can apply independently.
Lessons are suitable for students of different abilities and can be adapted around their current topics, schoolwork and upcoming exams.
