About Marie-Claudine
I have been working for years in education in various countries but mostly in England and taught at GCSE and A level. I have a lot of experience teaching three languages: French and English as a foreign language -my best specialist subjects- but also Spanish KS3 and I have excellent knowledge of the national curriculum requirements. After 32 years of practice within the teaching industry, I believe I have a large amount to offer through the skills this has enabled me to develop. Working in foreign countries has provided me with the ability to easily adapt to different environments and their varied demands. I have dealt with a wide range of age groups and cultures; I, therefore, feel comfortable and at ease when teaching students of all abilities and I can comply easily with any educational curriculum. I am thus able to identify the need for distinct learning styles and I differentiate my teaching accordingly. I feel grateful for the work ethic that I now possess as a result of such experience. Having taught both privately and in educational institutions has, of course, played an important part in my ability to conform to various situations, however, more importantly, working for myself has made me into an extremely independent and reliable teacher; two characteristics that are of prime importance if one is to succeed in such a profession. I have mainly orientated my teaching career towards the education of children and adolescents - safeguarding their rights and status - as these are the age groups I enjoy working with the most and I, therefore, possess the teaching skills and techniques specifically tailored to work efficiently with such individuals. I am a hard-working, challenge-driven individual who takes great pleasure in sharing my linguistic knowledge with the sole purpose of seeking admirable results amongst my pupils. I am always pleasant and in my opinion, it is essential to possess a healthy, positive and respectful relationship with the younger generation if one is to lead such an age group to reach their full potential. I take great pride in the delivery and quality of my lessons and continuously make sure to assess, in a formative and summative way, the progress of my students. I am equally extremely flexible and working extra hours with my pupils is never an issue. With regards to my previous teaching, I have a high success rate and I can provide reference letters from employers and parents whose children I have taught and who got excellent results.
