About Laura
I graduated in music with an emphasis on singing at EAFIT university with teacher Eliana Piedrahita in 2020. I have sung as a soloist with the Fundación Filarmónica del Cesar. I have participated in choral concerts under the baton of Cecilia Espinosa, Roberto González-Monjas, Francisco Rettig, Andrés Orozco-Estrada, among others. In 2017 I attended the GSIM festival (United States); where I received classes with teachers Anne-Carolyn Bird and GQ Wang. I am part of the Cecilia Espinosa Chamber Choir, with whom I traveled in 2019 to the International Habaneras and Polyphony Contest (Spain) and where we won second place in the Habaneras category. This same year, I did an academic exchange at the University of North Alabama (United States) where I studied with the soprano Gretchen Windt. I have actively participated in master classes with Alejandro Roca, Rupert Gro, Marylin Viloria, Juanita Lascarro, Valeriano Lanchas; among others. I have participated in the operas "The Medium" by Giancarlo Menotti, where I played Mónica; and Benjamin Britten's "The Turn of The Screw" as Miss Jessel.

I examine the abilities, strengths and weaknesses of the student to look for strategies to solve their difficulties and have a satisfactory process. Sometimes I use methods like Vaccai, if needed. Normally I structure the class in 3 parts: breathing exercises first, vocalization after, and finally; I work on a piece with the student whether it is lyrical or popular, that we previously choose in common agreement.
