About Shania
Hi! My name is Shania Holliday. I’m a bright, positive person who loves anything pink — it’s my absolute favorite color! When I’m not teaching, you can usually find me scrolling through my favorite shopping app, Shein, finding the cutest outfits. My go-to apps are Instagram and TikTok, where I love keeping up with trends, finding inspiration, and connecting with others. I’m passionate about making learning fun and helping kids feel excited about growing their skills! And lastly I currently still do a little bit of track, but back when I was 19 (I’m 26 now) I did cheer, baseball, track, and little bit of basketball

As an English and Math teacher specializing in working with children aged 10 and below, my approach focuses on creating a supportive, engaging, and interactive learning environment. I use a combination of visual aids, games, real-life examples, and hands-on activities to make lessons enjoyable and meaningful.
Each lesson typically starts with a quick review of prior knowledge, followed by a clear explanation of new concepts. We then practice together through exercises and activities suited to the student’s level, and I always end with a brief recap to reinforce learning.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my patience, creativity, and ability to adapt to each child’s unique learning style. I build strong, trusting relationships with my students, making them feel comfortable and confident to ask questions and make mistakes — because that’s how learning happens!
My lessons are designed for elementary school children (grades K-5), focusing on foundational skills in English (reading, writing, comprehension) and Math (basic arithmetic, problem-solving, and early geometry). I tailor each lesson to meet the individual needs of the child, ensuring they build a strong academic base while enjoying the process.
