About Kendi

I am a baritone, voice teacher, choral director, and community music facilitator with nearly twenty years of professional experience. I hold a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Central Arkansas and a Master of Arts in Community Music from the University of Limerick's Irish World Academy of Music and Dance. I have sung principal opera roles with Opera in the Rock and UCA Opera Theater, directed choirs in Ireland and the United States, sung with the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, was a soloist for the Little Rock Wind Symphony, and have taught voice to students of all ages since 2008. As a Community Musician, I have led numerous community drum circles at festivals, leadership events, and in collegiate environments. I am excited to share my experience and passion for music with YOU!

About the lesson

I have trained as an Operatic Baritone for over 20 years and have taught and performed with musicians across multiple genres. I have sung on the stage in operas, musical theater, dramas and comedies; I even front a rock band for 6 years!
In our lessons, what you want to work on is central to my teaching style. With me, you'll have good foundational techniques that will allow you to sing whatever it is that brings you joy.
