About Diala
I am a nineteen-year-old college student. I lived in the French part of Switzerland up to the age of 14. I know first-hand how complex and scary it may be to learn a new language. However, we can do it together. I will do whatever I can to make sure you are comfortable and understand the material you are learning.

I understand the struggle of learning a new language. I believe that the basics and foundation of the language should be learned first.
My teaching method focuses on a communicative approach, emphasizing the practical use of the language in real-life contexts. I incorporate a blend of the following techniques:
Interactive Conversations: Encouraging students to speak from the very beginning, using everyday situations to build confidence and fluency.
Grammar and Vocabulary Integration: Teaching grammar and vocabulary within the context of meaningful communication rather than isolated drills.
Cultural Immersion: Introducing elements of French culture, history, and customs to make the learning process more engaging and relevant.
Multimedia Resources: Utilizing videos, music, and online tools to enhance listening skills and provide varied learning experiences.
Feedback and Correction: Providing constructive feedback, focusing on common mistakes and areas for improvement, ensuring that corrections are made in a supportive manner.
Typical Lesson Plan:
Warm-Up (5-10 minutes):
Brief conversation in French to review previous material and get the student comfortable speaking.
Quick vocabulary or grammar review based on the last lesson.
Introduction of New Material (20-25 minutes):
Introduce new vocabulary, phrases, or grammatical concepts.
Use examples and practice sentences.
Interactive activities such as role-playing or situational dialogues.
Practice Activities (20-25 minutes):
Engage in exercises that reinforce the new material, including speaking, listening, reading, and writing tasks.
Incorporate multimedia resources or real-life materials such as news articles or songs.
Cultural Segment (5-10 minutes):
Discuss an aspect of French culture, history, or current events.
Relate it to the language learning process, enhancing cultural understanding.
Review and Homework Assignment (5-10 minutes):
Summarize key points of the lesson.
Assign homework that reinforces the day’s material, such as writing a short paragraph or completing an online exercise.
Answer any questions and provide additional resources if needed.
