About Darry
Hello there! My name is Darry and I currently work as a pilot at a commercial airline. I also have a background in computer science having completed a master's degree from King's College London, along with professional work experience with companies including KPMG and the NHS. I have always had a passion for teaching others, as reflected by my many years' experience of teaching trainees within the aviation industry, as well as teaching students of varying abilities subjects including programming, Microsoft Excel and mathematics. I am keen to keep in touch with my computing background by sharing my knowledge. My teaching style is student-centred whereby the student takes control of their own learning and identifies topics that they need help with which becomes the main focus of each lesson. In this way, I will be tailoring every lesson to address the needs of each individual student which I believe is the most efficient way to learn. Seeing students progress and become more confident in a topic that they previously struggled with is what motivates me to do my job as a tutor to the highest standards. Moreover, as well as tutoring academic subjects, I also offer mentorship and guidance in relation to competency-based interview preparation.
