About Nike
As someone who has been working with young children and adults in education for over 4 years with experience in secondary school settings and experience lecturing in further & higher education, I feel I would be well-suited for this role.
When teaching, I decided to take a different approach/ strategy and attempted to connect with the students and gain a deeper understanding of their behaviour and how they learn. I found that this led to many positive student outcomes, such as demotivated students changing their view on my subject and seeking me for help in catching up. A key part of my career is helping students reach their potential, which I work towards by focusing on student learning styles, motivation and engagement when teaching. By doing this I learnt that I have a skill in fostering strong positive relationships with my students and realised have the opportunity to use my empathy for good both inside and outside of the classroom.

I like to sit down with my students and find out where their gaps in knowledge are. Then I like to provide worksheets and content to help then fill that gap and after providing past paper questions and mark schemes in order to consolidate learning.
