About Mina
The name is Mina: I studied in four different countries in the past four years and that really made me realise how our backgrounds can both enable us and hinder us from excelling academically. Maybe your Year 2 teacher was really mean and it made you hate maths, or maybe your ADHD was stronger than your will to struggle through your homeworks for a bit too long. I do get it and I'll try my best to work with you to help you feel at least content with the subject. In return I can occasionally drop lore ranging from bouldering mishaps to how I became a "peasant leader" for Great Britain.

A paper has an area but a stack of sheets of paper has a volume - this a-ha moment for me happened in Year 4 but I aim to recreate it for the person in front of me every time I teach. To do that I help: - Prepare a lesson overview, go over what the teacher probably expects and how to identify that independently in class for 15 minutes - Spend 20-30 minutes working through difficult aspects of homework problems - Watch and discuss a cool video about science together, either proposed by the student or by me
