About Krzysztof

I graduated in 1996 as a qualified teacher of Physics. At the same year, I started my first teaching job at the University of Zielona Gora, Poland. I was teaching several subjects: Physics, Biophysics, Environmental Sciences and Computer Sciences. While teaching at the University, I started my Ph.D. research in Biophysics at Lodz University. I was studying biophysical properties of the model and biological membranes. After completing my Ph.D., I worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Physiology and Biophysics, the University of Alabama at Birmingham, USA. The project title: electrophysiology studies on regulation mechanisms of ion transport of cystic fibrosis transmembrane regulator using patch clamp technique. Apart from research work, I also presented my findings at regular lab meetings, conferences and published results in scientific journals. After completing the research project in UAB, I was working in Queens University of Belfast, UK. I was researching and teaching graduate and undergraduate students in the laboratory, lecturing and supervising students on their honor projects. While working in Coventry University I had similar responsibilities. I was involved in a research project on algae membrane lipid analysis, publishing findings at the conferences, scientific journals and supervising students. Upon the completion of the research project at Coventry University I had teaching experience with a range of children with complex needs. Most of the pupils used English as their second language. I have an opportunity to meet many people from different cultural background and ethnicity. To understand their needs in a range of various problems is not only challenging but also rewarding. The most important part of my work was to deal with the language barrier in their education process, so the pupils can keep gaining new knowledge despite the fact they use English as a second language.
I learned that giving yourself to others and loving people is rewarding and this is one of the best things in the world.

I think most important part of learning is to discover new things like a well-known philosopher in Greece - Plato was trying to understand this strange world. He was building the ideal world of mathematical functions and calculations to connect it with real physical world surrounding us. Beautiful world but not easy to understand multi-dimensional relations around.
