I have been teaching a range of Humanities subjects in schools for twenty seven years. For the last fifteen years I have specialised in teaching Senior English. I also have a vast amount of experience teaching English to year levels 7-10.

I use the explicit teaching model that is employed in Queensland schools. I am fully trained in this method and find it easy to use. I have been using this method for over four years now. This method has allowed my students to understand clearly the learning intention of each lesson. Through the explicit communication of the way in which the success of a lesson will be measured, students are clearly able to understand whether they have succeeded as far as learning the essential content of each lesson.
