About James
I'm a professional musician, I have played in bands one of which was with Sam Bailey who won X Factor, and have played on the same stage as Joe Brown. I currently play in a Rock'n'Roll band and write and record music for myself and my pupils when they learn how to write songs.

For beginners I teach them to play something simple in the first lesson so they feel they can do it, as they progress I teach them the music they like and as they get competent in playing I teach music theory and songwriting and suggest that they take Rockschool grades. I also help GCSE and A level students with their coursework. All lessons are tailored to the individual or group based on their abilities as they progress.

James is a great guitar teacher who has been teaching me for over 6 years. During this time I have progressed massively with my guitar skills achieving grade 6 and currently working towards my grade 7. James give excellent advise when I struggle with a song or solo and has helped me understand music theory to a high standard.
