About Elsa Guadalupe
I lived in Guadalajara, Jalisco Mexico for a long time, at the age of 17 I came to San Benito, Texas. In 2020 I graduated with two degrees, one in Spanish and the other in translation and interpretation. In August 2022 I finish my master's degree in Spanish with a concentration in linguistics and in a few days, I will publish my thesis.
I have worked for more than 5 years with the university of UTRGV, I started in 2017, working as a Spanish tutor, I gave 1 hour sessions three times a week, after a big difference was seen in the performance of the students They gave me 2 more advanced Spanish courses in which I had to help Spanish teachers and I also continued giving tutoring and I continued as a tutor until I graduated from university in 2020. During that time, they also gave me a job as Leader of tutors where I trained the tutors of Spanish and other languages.
During the summers I worked as an R.A with the Upward Bound Math and Science department, in this job I was given the opportunity to help high school students apply for scholarships, colleges and help them with FAFSA. I love to help students.

Experiential learning is a great teaching method because it encourages creativity, helps students learn from mistakes, fosters reflective thinking, and prepares students for future experiences. It can be effective for several subjects, especially during science experiments, sports coaching, and group projects.
I think that having my master and being able to teach different levels is what sets me apart as a tutor.
