Mr Penman tutored my daughter in Latin, to prepare her for her Latin GCSE and then Latin A'Level. I found him to be a reliable and inspiring tutor, who helped not only with her translations, but also brought the Roman civilisation alive for her, and installed in her a love of Classics. He was very adaptable, and able to fit in with our timetable. He had such an extensive knowledge of the subject, that he was able to educate her with resources outside of the curriculum, which helped her gain a deeper understanding.
