About Darcy
I’m a guitarist with 13 years of experience, and over the years, I’ve played in a few bands, including Mariana, Guttered and The Fuzz Toads. In Mariana, I play lead guitar, write most of the music, and often teach the songs to my bandmates.
In Guttered, I also contribute as a second guitarist, helping with writing and recording. We released our first full-length album, Surfacing, in 2023, and we’re currently working on a second album, set to release in 2025.
In The Fuzz Toads, I was the rhythm guitarist on our 5-track EP Small Business, released in late 2023. We also played several shows together.
I’m passionate about fast, intense shredding and creating filthy, high-energy riffs. There’s nothing I love more than rock and roll with all its raw energy. Now, I want to pass on that love of music to the next generation of shredders and help them develop their skills.

I approach guitar lessons with a focus on making learning fun, practical, and tailored to each student’s goals. Whether you want to shred like a rock star, explore different genres, or write your own music, I’ll create lessons that fit your needs.
My teaching method combines a strong foundation in technique with an emphasis on creativity and musicality. I like to break down complex concepts into bite-sized, easy-to-understand steps, so you can build confidence and skill at your own pace.
Lessons typically run for 45 minutes to an hour, but I’m flexible depending on what works best for you. I teach all levels, from complete beginners to advanced players, and I’m comfortable working with students of any age.
With 13 years of experience playing and performing in various styles, including metal, rock, and more, I’ve also spent years writing, recording, and performing live. This hands-on experience helps me give students real-world insights into both playing and the music industry.
My goal is to make lessons enjoyable and rewarding while helping you grow as a musician!
