About Gil
With over 18 years of experience as a guitarist, and having taken undergrad-level music theory and technique classes, I now specialize in playing the electric guitar.
I also play the acoustic guitar as well (if a song sounds good on acoustic, it'll sound good on electric!...but not the other way around).
Customizing guitars is a hobby of mine. I can also teach about guitar parts, internals, and customizing your own guitar to get the perfect tone and playability for you!
I am still enlisted in online courses to keep my guitar game sharp. From Jason Mraz to John Mayer to Paganini's 5th caprice, we can cover it.
Improving is a long, arduous process, but I'll make easier for you. From rhythm to lead, you can learn it with me!

From beginners to advanced players, I build customized lesson plans for my students.
Tell me what your goals are! I'll meet you where you are, and take you where you want to go.
Sessions start with a warm-up, a demonstration, then you'll practice and produce the theory/technique yourself. Any subsequent sessions will start with a review, and then follow with a new lesson.
I'll provide exercises and songs that you can do on your own to improve your play.
If you are aspiring to be a live/career musician, a lead/rhythm guitar player, or want to specialize in playing the electric guitar, I got you covered.
I'll show you how to dial in a sweet tone from clean to brown sound!
