About Alistair
I am a 17 year old musician that has been playing since I was 7. I first started playing due to artists such as Eric Clapton, and Slash. I now play a variety of genres, such as blues, jazz, acoustic, rock and metal.
I completed my electric guitar grades all the way up to grade 8, in the first half of 2020, and so have a large amount of experience learning music theory, and the correct techniques to play the instruments I teach.
I began playing in bands a few years ago, and have had experience playing live to small crowds of a few hundred people, and since then have regularly been playing in a band setting with different people, meaning I have spent time learning the differences that playing with other people encounters.

My lessons are made for those learning the above instruments, of any age, but below a grade 5 level of playing.
I teach first and foremost with the customer's interests at mind, meaning the songs and techniques we learn will be suited to your music taste. Lessons will include a mixture of learning songs, learning techniques and learning the relevant music theory (all of which are important to becoming a better musician but to also enjoy the process of learning).
I will teach using a variety of methods, such as printouts and online tablature to help learn songs, as well as learning how to improvise which is a very important skill as a musician.
I have had a little experience giving music lessons for a period of months on the website Fiverr.
A typical lesson will be 1 hour long.
