Been playing seriously for 15 years, with experience live with a touring band, playing all over the country. I currently have my own home studio which is where I compose and practice. I play Metal, Rock, Prog, Jazz, Flamenco, Acoustic and Bass.

I like to teach practical things. Knowledge that will help with composition, live scenarios, or in jam situations. Stuff that will propel you into new territory on your instrument. Technique is everything at the beginning! Most bidding guitarists put the instrument down after a while as they don't sound like their heroes, or can't seem to play a song the way its played on the record.. and can't quite identify what it is that is the hindrance, quite often, in most cases I've found is because they haven't worked on the fundamentals of technique enough. Bad technique is something you cant get rid of if you've been playing for a while. Or you can it just takes a long time and as i said, most people give up at this point! But it doesn't have to be this way.. My methods are:
Technique - but taught in a musical manner, not running drills but composing something together which hones on whatever technique it is.
Theory - but useful theory, not mind numbing sheet reading and learning the stave. Things you can implement into your own compositions. Stuff that will make sense and give you the keys to unlocking the fret board!
