About Alexander – Guitar Tutor with a Passion for Empowering Musicians
As a tutor, my goal is to inspire confidence, ignite curiosity, and make guitar playing both accessible and enjoyable—no matter your skill level. Whether you’re picking up the guitar for the first time or looking to refine advanced techniques, I tailor each lesson to meet your specific needs and goals.
My Teaching Method & Techniques
My approach combines structured technique-building with creative exploration. I focus on developing strong fundamentals—such as timing, picking accuracy, fretboard navigation, and theory—while integrating real songs, improvisation, and ear training. I also emphasize efficient practice strategies that help students make consistent progress without overwhelm.
Drawing from my background in classical, rock, and neoclassical shred, I incorporate a blend of traditional methods and modern tools, including custom backing tracks, tab/notation, and digital lesson materials.
A Typical Lesson Plan
Each lesson is designed to balance structure with fun. Here’s what a typical session might look like:
• Warm-up: Technical exercises or scale patterns to build dexterity
• Core Lesson Focus: Song, technique, or theory concept we’re targeting
• Application: Jamming, improvisation, or applying the concept to music you enjoy
• Q&A / Recap: Time to reflect, ask questions, and review progress
Every student receives personalized practice guidance to keep the momentum going between lessons.
What Sets Me Apart
I’m not just a teacher—I’m a coach, motivator, and fellow musician who truly cares about your growth. I draw from over 20 years of playing experience and formal music education (Musicians Institute, Berklee College of Music) to break down complex concepts in ways that are easy to understand and apply. My lessons are welcoming, encouraging, and always aligned with your goals.
Who the Lessons Are For
• Beginners who want to build a solid foundation and avoid common mistakes
• Intermediate players looking to level up their soloing, rhythm playing, or songwriting
• Advanced musicians exploring neoclassical shred, modal theory, or advanced techniques
• Adult learners and teens—I specialize in teaching older beginners and motivated hobbyists
• Aspiring professionals seeking guidance on tone, recording, or performance
Whether you’re learning for fun or dreaming big, I’m here to support your musical journey with patience, expertise, and a lot of heart.

Perfect! The first lesson with Alexander was invigorating. I explained I wanted to learn timing with a Metronome and he agreed and explained how to practice chords or notes using it. I also asked if he would use the teaching book and tools called Guitar Chord Compass by Noisy Clan, which teach the CAGED guitar system. Alexander said yes, and that he would get the same book with the decoder tool. He liked the idea that we could go to a certain page and discuss what, why, and how he wanted me to practice. Yeah! I want to learn the CAGED system for playing the blues like Memphis Minnie.
- It was great meeting you, remember to start low on the metronome and build up by 10 until you reach the goal of 120bpmAlexander's response :

Alexander is a great instructor who helped me grow my confidence by showing me guitar learning is a not a linear journey, has a great sense of humor as well a great knowledge of the guitar which makes the lessons fun. Highly recommend him!
Taking lessons with Alexander was one of the best decisions I made for my musical growth. From the very first session, I could tell he genuinely cared about helping me succeed—not just as a guitarist, but as a musician overall. He has a calm and encouraging way of explaining things, and no question ever felt too small or silly. I always felt comfortable being myself and asking for help.
