About Kent
I am avid musician, composer, and guitar enthusiast. I have a BS degree in Integrated Studies with an emphasis in music and psychology. I am also currently enrolled in the MM of music composition program at the University of Utah. I have 4 years of teaching experience, and can teach a plethora of genres and styles.

I believe firmly in a balanced approach to guitar instruction. I typically cover topics such as physical playing technique, reading tabs and notation, improvisation, music theory, song writing strategies, how to practice effectively, and performance techniques. I am also committed to making the process as enjoyable as possible for each of my students, and try to establish expectations from the beginning so that I know exactly how to tailor each guitar lesson to the musical journey of each individual student.
